Many new gardeners or horticulturists struggle to create a proper environment for plant growth. The Plant-Saver aims to simplify the process and provide proper recommendations for the user. Housed in a convenient form factor, the device will analyze local conditions including temperature, soil moisture, humidity, and lighting. This data is utilized to provide recommendations for compatible species or for improving the care of a specific nearby plant. Using a simple UI consisting of a plant selection screen and two data display screens, this information is displayed to the user in an easily digestible format. Environmental data is displayed along with an indication of how it compares to ideal conditions. Displaying the raw data readings while expressing recommended changes in simple terms allows the user to have a better understanding of their plant’s environment and how to alter it for improved growth.
