Electric Wheelchair
In short, Electric Wheelchair is an open-source, modular electric wheelchair. Existing electric wheelchairs can be very expensive to get nicer features and better functionality. Our goal is to design an open-source product that users in the community can replicate, modify, add to, and use with relative ease at a modest price point. To aid in achieving this, as many of the most complicated parts as possible are bought off the shelf or found in the OSHE lab, with emphasis on general availability. We want each part to be easily swappable. The emphasis on user configurability and accessibility helps ensure the Electric Wheelchair is within grasp for most people. It can help better the lives of people dependent on a wheelchair who cannot afford an electric wheelchair or would like a more custom chair.
